The birth of a new quartet

Having entertained in East Anglia by singing together for 20 years our Barbershop quartet "East Coast Sounds", finished due to our fourth member reaching the grand  age of 90 years.

Three of us after having a two year break and after number of requests for live entertainment felt the need to form a new quartet and continue sharing our style of music. With a new member and new line up in January 2008  was born.

Tenor. Roy Kidd-Stanton. The sound you hear floating just above the rest of the quartet parts. Roy has sung barbershop for 32 years starting with Colchester B.H. and Chelmsford Chorus and Quartets, High Street Harmony, and East Coast Sounds.

Lead. Robin Thomas, sings the melody of the song and therefore he is given the title of "lead". Robin with 30 Years barbershop membership sang with Colchester, Saffron Sound, and Chelmsford Choruses and Sounds Easy and East Coast Sounds Quartets.

Bass. Geoff Wells. Is the foundation of our quartet. Geoff with 20 years experience singing Barbershop with Chelmsford Chorus grabbed the chance to sing in this his first quartet.

Baritone. Geoff White. The baritone is the "cement" that binds the quartet together Geoff has nearly 25 year's membership firstly with Colchester then Chelmsford Chorus. Having sung Bass with East Coast Sounds he has now changed to singing the Baritone part.
